Fall
As summer starts winding down in late August, USA Pears make their appearance at grocery stores around the world. The Bartlett variety is the first to appear along with other red varieties such as Starcrimson. Bartlett pears are soon joined by Anjou (red and green), Bosc, Comice, Seckel and Forelle.


Winter
Winter often brings on cravings of fresh fruits and vegetables to offset the heavier fare of winter menus. You'll be in luck when you go to the store in search of fresh, juicy pears since the peak of all USA Pear variety availability happens to be in winter months.

Spring
In addition to your traditional spring produce favorites, consider adding fresh pears to a salad, dessert or a snack any time of day. Baked pears are a quick dinner, dessert or breakfast fruit, and a pear rhubarb cobbler or crisp combines spring items with the fresh juicy flavors of Anjou and Bosc pears.
